Turning doesn't matter... It's the speed that does.

If waterbenders are able to hit JetBlasters and Catapulters, I have faith that they can hit an airscooter. Also, it doesn't HAVE to hit them, they can put it in front of the airscooter to make the airscooter end and proc the cooldown.

At least you can disorentate the air scooter to make turnings everytime.

Right now, IceSpike's spike feature is very situational when you can only raise them from ice only. I don't those a reason why it shouldn't sprout from snow and water. In snowy place, you can use it as an quick and suprise attack (without them expecting/knowing that).
