As a concept designer you should. You have to make sure what others find enjoyable and what could use some work. And if you just have 4 messages (5 now) you haven't shown what you are capable of. Everyone can say they can do something, but first prove it.
 
His right. You better start doing things in here (suggest ideas, particapate in discussions on improving someones else ect.). It is a long way by the time they will choose and annouce the person to CD department. Start doing it.
