Ope sorry, this was a known problem in 1.8.7. It is fixed in 1.8.8 so you can update to that to fix it, but that also requires updating to spigot 1.13.2. If you are against updating spigot (which you really shouldn't be) then there's not much we can do.

No this is a different ability and that one is in jedcore

The system used for tracking blocks placed by abilities doesn't have way of identifying what exactly placed the block, so rather than trying to finaggle a work around for it I thought it better to, in a general sense, not allow earthkick to work on any blocks made by another ability.
