Only really powerful EarthBenders can possess this ability. Using EarthBending to bring down meteorites!

Toph was able to bend meteorite material so why can't insanely powerful benders with normal vision drag them down from outer space?:)
(She couldn't sense vibrations from something that is way out in space if you're wondering why she couldn't bring down meteors.)

And because space is thousands of miles off the surface of earth.

You really cant do that cuz like theres a whole atmosphere away to actually sense the meteor so I guess this would only be a avatar thing

Seems legit!!!!!!!1!!1!1!1!! How about we make it so that Waterbenders would be able to actually bend comets that are flying through our solar system because comets have ice in them? What if we made Firebenders able to move the sun so that they could hit enemies with it? How about we also let Airbenders move the sun because of all the gases in it to hit enemies with? Just some suggestions u no

I don't really see this working.
Logically this wouldn't be used. Also even if you could bend them, and bring them down, our atmosphere would disintegrate the meteors.
Thus causing the meteors to have no purpose In attacks or defense.

However, many of you may not go by logic, and go by... idgaf, i want the fcking move, who cares about logic? Cx

Have a good day. :)

A: toph didn't really use meteor bending, if you were talking about at the end of season 3, that was just earth ending boulders and putting it in fire

Actually he is most likely referring to when sokka was making his sword, and he gave toph the little piece of meteorite.

This is insane. If earthbenders are capable of moving meteors, Waterbenders should be capable of collecting water from clouds. And as we saw in Book 2 from ATLA, Katara after losing Appa, Waterbenders aren't capable to perform such a powerful move.
Edit: moving clouds from the ground.

Well how do you know that? Katara wasnt such a great bender in that episode since she didn't bend the water in the cactus to drink. She could just separate the water from the stuff that made Sokka high. Maybe FullMoon Master WaterBenders can move clouds/get water from them?

No, Even earthbenders with normal sight can't do it

Sokka once asked toph in the comics how far of range she had with earthbending, she awnserd that she could bend anything that was in a normal human's sight
pretty sure meteorites aren't in range of vision/sight
