Iroh got all buff in prison so he could break out without using firebending. You know, because it was during the eclipse. No other reason .-.

Though I don't actually disagree with making firebenders a little faster, if that's what we're debating

Even so, you need to be strong and fit to be able to keep up all the active movements. Plus, even Iroh, at such an old age, was extremely fit.

The suggestion is nice and well thought out, but it isn't practical in an MC sense. If we were to give them the speed boost of a Chiblocker and take away some fall damage, Fire would no longer remain practical and balanced in an MC sense.

This is one of those instances where we have to break a bit from the show, sure, when Firebenders jumped around they didn't break their ankles, but fall damage MC is an appropriate balance.
