Sure, it wouldn't hurt.

You could like shoot earthblasts from it, as you do with raiseearth collumbs. If you use earthsmash, half of the dome will be shot

The thing is, Earth Grab has another purpose from Earth Dome. So combining them doesn't make 100% sense to me. And from the GIF, it doesn't look like Aang is doing a combo to create that dome.
