Fire is the most offensive element in the plugin, even their shields do damage. That's pretty offensive if you ask me, also almost all of their moves expect illumination deal damage (I killed someone with heat control lol) And fire is the fastest element after air, Yes water has waterwave. But...

Great idea, but a suggestion If the user blasts a tool. It would do the same amount of damage the tool would do, instead of 0.5-1 heart

Also the lava sometimes when used upward hills can flow to the sides causing the parts the flowed over not the revert at all or revert very slowly

Are you sure you dont have any plugins like GroupManager / Permission EX? Also what spigot/bukkit version do you use? And lastly could you provide a screenshot of the permission message and double check if your OP?

Well i have multiple opinions about this, I can understand it but at the same i dont. Minecraf vanilla lightning had this but bending has nothing to do with that.. and it wasnt ever shown in the show that pigs would transform into monster pigs, but at the same time its "Lightning" and lightning...
