I told myself I wouldn't let mists peer pressure get me involved with this community, but it overcame me. Sorry self respect.

As you could probably tell by all of my status updates, I'm a chi blocker at heart, and it pains me that nobody even thinks to choose chi when they join a server. Why? Because the class is boring as fucking hell because none of you nerds work on it.

Warrior Class thingy
I don't think warrior should be it's own class, because you'll probably do a bad job on it and nobody will play it. Rather, it should be an extension to chi blocking. I really put like no thought into this, but this is what I'm thinking: Scrap /b ch chi and make it /b ch Warrior or nonbender. You start off with moves and passive abilities such as better sword damage, bow damage, maybe some slightly stronger attacks that give them debuffs such as slowness. Whatever, you guys can think of that.

FLASH FORWARD
You've been a warrior for like 2 hours of playtime or whatever, you then have the opportunity to further your warrior training or become a chi blocker. If you choose to be a warrior you will have a few more defined abilities than what you started with. If you choose chi, you get all of the basic abilities you started with as a warrior, but then the addition of some of the current chi blocker moves, and some new ones.

The chi blocker would be used for more agile melee attacks, like it is now, but also have a few more diverse abilities and passives.
The warrior, on the other hand, won't be nearly as agile, but have many strong melee attacks and great with weapons.

I'm really not even that proud of this suggestion, I'm just posting this fast off my phone because I'm sick of all you racists complaining about how your elements don't get fun new changes, while chi is being left to rot. (OMG PK SUC WHERE ARE MY WATER MOVES U SUK.) The only thing chi has gotten was smokescreen, because Mist asked me for chi move ideas privately...I think before pk even existed.
P.S I had no idea what PK CORE/RPG and what this belonged in so I just put it in misc

Chiblocking is pretty OP all on its own if you use it correctly..on the server I play on three benders tried to take on a single chiblocker and got their butt handed back on a silver platter.

Chi is pretty balanced, most people just don't know how to fight them because there are so few. On the server I do a lot of work for, at least, around 80 people have chosen chi, where the other elements are around 400 each. I don't want buffs, I want changes.

480 people seems like an exaggeration ._. But most people want to be benders, its just not their style playing as a non-bender.

There really isn't much to add to chi. Maybe kick, drop kick but those would end up being the same as Rapid Punch because you can't really animate a kick in the plugin. If you have such a problem with the lack of Chi moves then suggest some because the whole point of Chi Blocking is paralyse so that's their main move. If you think Chi needs more, make a suggestion thread, if not, then you really can't complain if even you can't think of anything. Also what you suggested about progressing from Warrior to Chi or Warrior sounds like RPG territory.

Aside from taking credit for a move I designed entirely, there are some other faults in this thread:

1) What do you even want us to do? "I want a class that's slower and harder hitting". Either you want a Kyoshi Warrior style build (which would be more RPG), or this is an extension to Chi, in which case you're being really vague and in which case this barely qualifies for a suggestion. If it's a suggestion, you *suggest* things, don't just state things.

2) Swords and armour from the vanilla game do exist, bending doesn't stop them being used. You can achieve the same effect of slower, heavier damage with those.

I think Prot IV. Armor and Fire Aspect II Diamond Sword would destroy any bender :L

Airbenders might have an easier time, the others would definitely have issues. Waterbenders I suppose could just camp in a lake.

We must have both suggested it, I can give you skype proof of all the move ideas I gave to mist when he asked, smokescreen being one of them.
I can easily find it within the confidential staff documents that I sent to Mist. Considering he coded it about half an hour after I submitted it to him, and with every individual detail I mentioned shown, I think we can tell which he used...

It's almost like you guys didn't read my thread. I'm not suggesting to add more chi moves.
What I suggested was you choose to be a nonbender, then afterwards you can choose to become a warrior with a different set of moves, or a chi blocker with the current set of moves.

The point isn't to just get armor and pretend you are a warrior. The point is to enhance your capabilities with swords, assuming you choose the warrior path.

To settle any dispute, BubbaTree had the Smokescreen idea FIRST, before ProjectKorra even existed as we were developing moves for our own server, it resurfaced when we began working on ProjectKorra.

All in all, this thread was put together very well. Great thread BubbaTree! You are so great!

In response to the actual thread I believe that it would be balanced ONLY IF the warriors were allowed only to use wooden swords. A 7 damage diamond sword would kill any bender very quickly considering they usually don't use armor. Also if there is an option to skip the whole warrior part and go right to chi. Such as at a certain point as you say you kind of level up. You get the option to continue as a warrior or go to chi maybe there would be a command such as /b ch warrior chi to get chi right away and /b ch warrior advanced to get the advanced version of warrior right away, this could only be used by ops though.Good suggestion overall.

YeeYee I hear ya Mr. @Bear I was thinking you start off by choosing to be a nonbender, then maybe something would pop up in your chat bar or something "Would you like to pursue the path of a..." and then just choose which fighting style you would want to pursue. As far as damage, I was thinking the warrior would have automatic strength I, so other elements could still get ahead of them with strength II if they wish to fight with swords. As far as moves go, some might not be able to work with swords to keep it balanced.

For example: currently you can't rapid punch with any tool equipped to the slot, because it would deal increased damage multiple times over and be too strong. If a warrior had an ability to say, do an extra 150% damage with a punch for arena fights, it could just not function with a sword.

I have started to look into moves that will only work with a sword/bow equipped, along with moves that would really only be decent in an armor/toolless arena fight. I encourage others to do the same.

I would like to see a class of just Warriors, who on their own don't have much, but can use specific weapons to specialise. Examples could be Fans being fast, low damage weapons, which grant a mild speed boost, Swords being a moderate speed and moderate damage, and clubs being slow, high damage weapons! :D

What if it was a sort of nonbender skill tree?

Nonbender > Warrior or Chi
Chi > Acrobat or Equalist
Warrior > Assassian or Soldier
Assassian > Bounty Hunter
Soldier > Kyoshi or Water Tribe Warrior

I will probably make a suggestion for this.
