Hey!

Soon, I'll be going on a school trip for a week to England. I'm really excited about it, and we are also going to london for a day!

Now the thing is, I don't really know what special things there are in London. Sure there's the tower bridge and the big ben, but that won't keep us busy for more than 10 minutes. :p

So, do you know any special things to do in London? I'd thought I could ask the community because, you know, why not?

So far, we want to go to the anime shop called 'TokyoToys'! That's basicly all we got for now.
If you know something please post! Thanks!

- Finn (and my friends that are coming with me ;))

EDIT: We'll be dropped at the tower bridge.

So I actually live just outside London.

  • The London Eye is an immediate hit cause it's huge, but it's also really expensive and usually has a big queue. Possibly a first or last day thing to do?
  • Just outside London, Thorpe Park is a theme park with the world's steepest drop on a rollercoaster and Europe's tallest ride too, if you're into thrills.
  • The Ritz is overrated, don't go there.
  • The Tube is seriously convenient, taxis will rip you off. If you take the Tube though, stand on the left and walk on the right of all stairs/elevators.
  • London is hella expensive, so try to avoid obvious tourist traps when you can.
  • The Thames is gross, try to avoid the water whenever possible.
  • The aquarium is awesome! The zoo is not.
  • Westminster is very impressive but there is nearly always some protest going on nearby...
  • Oxford Street is so much fun but it's quite expensive anyway :p
  • Go to Camden as soon as you can
  • Go to Camden as soon as you can
  • Camden.
I think that's it, really. If you're going for Comic-Con, since that's coming up, it's not that great. It's pretty fun the first time, but the amount of anime body pillows and creepy guys and asshole youtubers is just too high. Cosplay's impressive though.

Thanks! I was hoping you would reply, you always know much about these sort of things! :D
We get a pass/ticket to use the tube all day long for free, so we'll surely make use of that :p
Also, you're the first one to tell me/us where NOT to go instead of where we should go. I'm getting more excited everytime I read this list, thanks! :)

I hear there are issues with Zygons over there, so don't trust the locals asking if you have backup. Don't say you do if you do, and don't say you don't if you don't.
If you have backup and say you have backup, they will keep you alive long enough to kill your backup and then kill you.
If you don't have backup and say you don't have backup, they will kill you.

Kinda a lose-lose situation.
My recommendation?
Have Backup and don't say so either way.

Also, don't trust your Direct Family Goading you into a deserted area. Or any secluded area, really. They are probably Zygons.

This has to be causing terrible business for hookers though.
