Denied Bloodbending

Ok so my idea would be to add either a whole knew skill or a Multi use to the normal Bloodbending skill. I feel as bloodbending in its own is very strong but say against a Airbender in a open place there isn't much in the way of dealing damage using that skill. So maybe make it to where when you are bloodbending you can left click and deal damage as if you just punched that person. Or maybe have it to where you could deal suffocation to the target. Because I personally love bloodbending but I feel it really lacks damage because if a target is immune to fall damage or there isn't really anything to throw them into you can't really do any damage. I will also add as a side note I don't know if this has been discussed or not but I haven't seen any threads and this also my first thread so I apologize if it is a bit messy.


EDIT: INFORM ME IF I NEED TO REWRITE THIS TO MAKE IT EASIER OR TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO FIX IN MY IDEA SO IT CAN COME ACROSS EASIER TO UNDERSTAND <3

You didn't see Yakone "suffocating" Aang to kill him. Plus, when you bloodbend a person, they are totally powerless until you stop bloodbending them. If you can deal good damage while rendering them TOTALLY helpless, then that's a bit too much.

Well my idea would be that you would be able to render them totally helpless it would be more of a move that as you channel you deal damage but they could still attack. Like there is two ways to go in my mind. 1. As you bloodbend them they can't move but they are still able to bend attacks at you or something and if you take damage you would lose focus and you would have restart the skill this could also mean you could add a cooldown to the skill as well. 2. You could use the skill and it would deal damage at a better tick but they would be free to move and bend moves at you so you would be stationary which would leave you way more vulnerable.

1. Sounds pointless because you're going to be getting hit and most likely dying. 2. is just suffocate but for waterbenders, and it's a bit better.

Unblockable, ranged, has walldmg, has utility, does falldmg, easy activation
This really shouldnt be a thing. Bloodbending is op enough, the only (kink or crack?) in its invincible spear is its need to aim. Even in the series they had to maintain constant concentration on the entity.

I hate it when you guys say "it's already op". Doesn't mean that you can't disabled it or do something about it to go arond this problem.

Bloodbending is an easy move to avoid - no one on the server I play on really plays with it because it's so easily avoidable.



Baevoid I'm going suggest something that might work,

Damage: 1
Cooldown: 4
Max Range: 10
When aiming at a player it deals damage after a left click (It's like punching them from a distance.)

Something like punching them from a distance was all I got from Baevoid's suggestion so I immediately thought of something like this, something that deals damage that's not a projectile.

What your saying: if something in the plugin is op, just ignore it!
That's a no. Abilities and moves have to have limits. Airswipe was op, so a cool down was added. Walldmg is still being discussed. (innate ability to one hit people)

That's the reason bloodbending is dsabled by default. There is not such of a diffrerence, if you make it even more opper.

The newest BETA added a walldmg cap, actually. Don't know if it'll stay, but personally, I hope it will.

Bloodbending is not OP its more of just an annoyance for the other player. You can easily find ways out of Fall damage and wall damage. Which are also situational at best.

Still, bloodbending is well enough. This isn't canon, it's op, and (opinions near!) I just don't like the idea of bloodbending working this way.
I don't like it either. What I hate the most this saying "bloodbending is op already!...
<....>".

I just want bloodbenders to not be able to just rapid-shot people upwards. We never saw any bloodbenders doing so. The closest case of launching people with bloodbending was when Amon launched Lieutenant agaisnt some wood pieces and he wasn't that fast. If bloodbending won't be changed so you can't launch people upwards, at least change it so the victim doesn't go as fast as they do at the moment. That would reduce the fall damage A LOT and it wouldn't be an easy way to kill people in arenas.

Bloodbending is overpowered as it is and we should be looking at ways to nerf it, not make it stronger. Denied.
