Hello everyone! It is with great excitement that I announce our new plan for the ProjectKorra YouTube Channel today. Some of you may have been aware that the ProjectKorra YouTube Channel exists, we've talked about using it in the past, but never went about it in quite the right way. This thread will detail how we plan to approach the YouTube channel in the near future.
Please drop a subscription on the channel - it can be found by clicking here.
The new and improved ProjectKorra YouTube Channel will be designed to allow for content creators to have their work published on a platform for many to see. The goals are two fold - it will aim to expand the viewer base for content creators and expand the reach that ProjectKorra has.
This new YouTube plan will involve two types of creators, Community Creators and ProjectKorra Digital Staff. I hope that the two together will be able to produce enough content to keep the channel afloat with lots of new content each week.
Community Creators
Community Creators will be able to submit videos to the new channel whenever they want. Guidelines are posted below. These users are not members of the ProjectKorra staff and have a little less restriction as to what they can and cannot post. Their submissions are reviewed by the Digital Team and then placed in an upload queue assuming their video meets all criteria.
Submission Criteria
The Digital Director will oversee the queue and will download queued videos (assuming they are unlisted) and reupload it to the official ProjectKorra channel.
Users who regularly submit good content, are in good standing with the ProjectKorra community (meaning no active bans), and have a valid Digital Application may be invited to join the ProjectKorra staff.
Additionally, users will have their channel linked directly in the description of the video when it is uploaded to ProjectKorra. The goal of this entire project is to enable growth on both ends. We want your channel to grow too!
Staff Members
Official YouTube Content Creators will have a new staff rank under the Digital Department [name pending]. These users will be tasked to do more official work on behalf of the Project. They will be a part of the ProjectKorra staff full time and will have priority access to uploading to the channel on a fixed schedule.
Channel Uploading Schedule
We will likely be spending the next few days hoping to build up a queue before we begin uploading. The new channel will follow a new uploading schedule dependent on the amount of content that we receive. As the channel grows, uploads may become more frequent. In the early days, we will shoot for 2-4 videos per week, to be spaced out at the Digital Director's discretion.
Please let me know if you have any questions! I look forward to seeing this project take off.
