Denied lightning

so a while ago i heard about a idea for lightning. it was that in 1.8 we can use the guardians beam. so you would charge up lightning like you normally would. and if you click when you see smoke the guardians beam would shoot out to the target. it would deal the same as normal lighting.
it would be cool to add this.

and maybe when you get hit with it yellow particles appear and would would get slowness 100 for 5 seconds that way you can move so its like you got paralyzed.

Slowness 3 is needed for not being able to move. Also it should be 3 seconds. 5 is way to op. then if they have lavabending and firebending they could've made a pool of lava under them already.
