Denied Doing something with ice in 1.8

Basically ice in 1.8 will blind you when you're trapped inside of it, is there anything you guys could to to stop it from blinding us in any way?

Blind us? i have been playing 1.8 and it does still transparent. Is it now a solid block now?

I dont think there is anything we can do about this. It relates to how minecraft works with textures... I dont think a plugin can change this.
