.... thats irrelevant to the fact that the title should be avatar no matter whatThat's because when you change your element, all your elements get cleared and it is set to the 1 element you specified.
Erm no. Avatar title depends on if the player has more than one element, and doing /b choose clears all your current elements and makes your only element the specified one..... thats irrelevant to the fact that the title should be avatar no matter what
It's not a rank, so much as a prefix. It just shows what element the player has, and shows avatar when said player has more than 1. Why it doesn't stay as fire would be a bug.then why does it say avatar after a relog... you either have the avatar rank or not. It is not dependent on which element you want to use.. you are avatar regardless! so it should say it
I hate to rain on your parade buddy but, I just read the code, yes, it is dependent on what element you are.then why does it say avatar after a relog... you either have the avatar rank or not. It is not dependent on which element you want to use.. you are avatar regardless! so it should say it
...ok. Sure. Whatever you'd like to think pal. But you're incorrect. I coded it.if it is dependent on what element you are... then every avatar on my server should not have a title? I am just not following the logic
it is based on the avatar permission node, not multiple elements
DUDE I AM READING THE CODE. Okay let me sum it up into dumbed down terms for ya. On player's element change, if they have more than 1 element, give them avatar prefix. if not, get the new element, and set that as their prefix. I hope this clears it up.if it is dependent on what element you are... then every avatar on my server should not have a title? I am just not following the logic
it is based on the avatar permission node, not multiple elements
oh then thats a bug.okay on my server there are literally players that have one element, but also the permission node: - bending.avatar
and they have the title.
yes and I am saying that that is a bug since they have the permission node for avatar...DUDE I AM READING THE CODE. Okay let me sum it up into dumbed down terms for ya. On player's element change, if they have more than 1 element, give them avatar prefix. if not, get the new element, and set that as their prefix. I hope this clears it up.
Okay so its a bug, but it isn't. Because depending on your perspective of the bending world, you could see 1 element as a non avatar. Its all based on perspective.basically what it comes down to
does having the permission node bending.avatar mean they are an avatar, or does bending multiple elements mean they are an avatar. I would like to think it is the permission node as that actually makes the most sense, so that is a bug that when switching elements the title does not display, and the whole reason I made this thread.
true but if for some reason they choose to only be using one at that point in time doesnt mean they arent an avatar. I dont know this really isnt even a big dealIn all honesty, you can't call people with only 1 element "avatars". The permission node should just be for if they are allowed to be called an avatar. That said, that doesn't mean you should be called an avatar with only one element. That logic is screwed in my opinion xD
