It should be a chance thing. Like 50% can generate lightning while 48% can redirect lightning while 2% can do both. This is just based on a maximum of 10 people, so in numbers Every 5 can generate. Every 5 or 4.8 can redirect. Every 1 (Because its really 0.2) can do both. These aren't real...

Fire as of right now is alittle OP since they can charge moves while on any firejet, so they could be charging lightning while blazing around you with no penalty.

Fire is mainly offense, not alot of defense was the whole purpose of being a firebender. I like this idea, but this would make firebenders more OP in my opinion.

Fire is op has it is. This wouldnt do much in the long run. I agree that earthbenders need this added so they can defend themselves.
