Could this have a sideway function? So if I clicked with this ability on a wall then spikes (depending on the depth of the wall) would shoot out the wall then slowly retract, I can see it being a good way to throw people about if used well with the ground part too, almost like a combo of our own

I don't think the inventory should matter, I understand about the earthly tether but Zaheer is able to carry Korra away with ease, she's gotta weigh a fair bit due to her build and her muscle mass, yet it doesn't bother Zaheer's flight one bit.

Seeing as you don't get the ingots back, I don't see why not to have this move, Iron is a pretty common ore thinking about it, so you lose 3 ingots, knowing a metal bender they are likely to be carrying a stack anyway, and you lose metal fast if you are not so great at landing metalclips or you...
