2 waterbenders (one was the avatar) where needed to do this. I also don't think damage getting by drowning is a good idea, since it's kinda boring and slow

You said it makes 6 or 6.5 hearts of damage in total!! But there is a difference between logic and common sense. Also, it wouldn't be very logic for little slices of water to inflict that much of damage+the stream of water that remains after shooting those slices of water, won't be very much so...
