lakes, phase change the frozen lakes in an ice spike biome, and there is no water in a desert, so how were you supposed to use healingwaters in the first place? How do you mean grow stuff?

A water bender has very little reason to go to a desert. Plenty of cows and pig in an icespike, taiga, etc.

no, earth benders are completely screwed in an OCEAN. The earth the bottom is WAY too deep, you'll be drowned when you get there, and using raise earth isn't an option neither, cuz it is too deep. If earth is screwed in an ocean, then water is in a desert/mesa.
