The errors have been cut off at the bottom, the first one should have more information about the NullPointerException stated on the last line, and the second a ClassCastException.

This bug has already been fixed and a patch will be made available in 1.8.7. Also for future reference, when posting bug reports it helps to put the stack trace in a code block like so to make it easier to read. code Thank you for reporting this issue. :)

I haven't heard of these issues. Make sure WaterManipulation's collisionRadius config option is high enough to properly detect entities. Also, feel free to post any errors when using Surge that results in your server crashing. We'd be happy to point you in the right direction to fixing your issues.

As we can see on the AbilityStartEvent page, the event contains an Ability which can be used with the getAbility() method. All you would need to do is simply check if this Ability is an instance of the AvatarState ability. From there you can print whatever information you like.
