Suggestion Water Sources

If this is added, then we need a way to carry water around without bottles.
It would be too difficult to need a whole tree for one move... Oh and, that was 3 torrents, (huge ones)
That the old lady made. In mc those would be 2x2, with the stream behind them

Because it forces you to use a freaking tree for a measly torrent. Some bending arenas with trees only have like 3 trees! Still not a debuff?
It isn't a debuff because you currently can't bend water from trees. Debuff would be removing a feature that's already in the plugin.

What I am hearing from this is that instead of being able to use the leaves you have to use the whole tree. Forgive me if I am wrong.

Having to use trees as a source for torrent would kind of suck :/ Imagine being in a desert without bottles. No torrent for you.

I agree what do you suggest however on how this could be improved? Flower and plant regeneration after a set amount of time? I believe this is already in effect in the plugin's current state, correct me if I am wrong (Enabled in the configuration file?).

I believe the plant regen only works when a waterbender has used the plant as a source

I don't think anyone implied limiting torrent to trees.
"I propose that when a water bender selects a leaf block, it drains the tree completely, or depletes all the leaves in a certain radius(Could deplete logs as shown in the show also...?)"

"The plants in the plugin currently regenerate after a set amount of time just like earthbending. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to do that with trees. "

If it's going to completely drain trees than why would tiny little plants work as sources? Also, deserts are no longer generated with pools of water in them.

Ok so we have gone a little off track, I asked for suggestions on how we could avoid the issue of grief, and the only answer I got was tree regeneration. Again, this is for the RPG plugin, so I thought that bending an entire tree would be a lot more accurate than to pull a full torrent or surge out of a tiny leave(or log as someone suggestion) block. I believe it should use the entire tree.

Possibly you could suggest another way for a water bending to gain a source? Because from your perspective on this, it is entirely accurate to the show. Put the water bending player in the show, how would they survive? The lack of water is not to "debuff" the element, but to give waterbenders the mindset of a roleplaying aspect. They could ask themselves, where can I set up my house in order for me to bend easily? How can I transport water to protect myself? Etc.
Also, about Hama bending the trees, she bent two trees so both water contained in the trees was probably more than enough for a torrent and a thin surge. One tree could substantially give a waterbender a reasonable sized torrent to manipulate and fight with.

Just...
....

So what I want to project to you guys is that if a waterbender were be put into show with the instance of not many sources(Lets not water vapor in the air for now...), what would they do or how could they get their source. Or would they just be out of luck, as some waterbenders were in some cases in the show. This is not to make any other more powerful or to dominate another, but if the instance came of no sources we need to think logically instead of making each element fair against another in every circumstance.
Thank you for posting your suggestions, I hope you take mine into consideration. Also if you are going to post why you do or do not like a suggestion, please refer to why you do not instead of just replying with no initial thought or consideration, thank you.

So you think "role playing" is more important than fairness? I don't think it is right for me to be nearly unable to bend unless I'm constantly near water, a handicap other benders don't have. even they can bend underwater, if I recall. As I said before, trees and plants in minecraft already provide pretty much the same they provide in the show, and certainly enough for far more than 1 water manipulation, and the amount of water in a move does not determine strength, so it would be irreverent.

No they can't. They can't even bend if they have an air/water bubble around them, it still won't let them bend underwater.
