Hey guys. I just want to raise awareness to a glitch in Minecraft that causes the user to do around 4-6 hearts of damage.
I've known about this for quite a while but I never thought it was a glitch, I always thought it was a petty excuse for hackers.

I recently screen shared with someone and made him delete his Minecraft folder to prove that he wasn't hacking. After he did that I deleted his player data located in the world folder and he started to deal normal damage again.

If there are dedicated players on your server and they swear they aren't hacking try this method before banning them. It wouldn't be fair to ban them if they actually aren't hacking!

That's all :)

It isn't great and I agree.
My guy didn't glitch abuse, he contacted me and cooperated in fixing the issue :)

Well you obviously have no trust for your player if you don't believe they aren't hacking.

If someone deals 6 hearts in one punch (without mcmmo), would you believe they arent hacking if they just say "I'm not hacking."?

I would spy on them, but I wouldn't be like "DELETE YOUR PRECIOUS MINECRAFT FOLDER AND PLAYER DATA SKRUB".

He agreed to do it all.. He could have just said no :L
Deleting player data didn't do anything and he didn't mind loosing anything other than his worlds which he backed up.
Spying on him wouldn't help in the slightest

If he said no, the Owner would become more suspicious.

Ok. 1: It's not possible for a hacker to do 6 of damage anyway. You should know that as a server owner.

2. If they were hacking, all they would be able to do is be constantly sprinting, always doing critical hits, etc. Clients can't control damage, they can only control things the player has control of XD (E.g. Crouching, Sprinting, moving, etc)

I'm glad you figured it out in the end but I don't think it could ever be the player lol.

FYI, once he shared screens he showed me proof that he wasn't hacking. Deleting his minecraft folder and player data was us trying to fix the glitch in which he wanted to do..
