how about this? attack twice for normal grapple but if you hit a player it'll pull you towards them. attack shift to pull the selected area out, have it be affected by gravity and the position of the player then you can attack again and it'll continue in that direction ( also affects players). shift attack, selects piece of earth from the player's location at time of shift and the attack pulls it out that direction ( not affected by gravity but does move players) stops moving if it hits something it can't fit through. also shift ( hold) attack for changing modes. Modes dual chains ( requires iron armor) and single chain( no armor needed). Dual chains this uses combination forms of what I talked about previously
