How can a giant wall made of fire, not block a small stream of water? I somehow doubt that would happen very easily. At the very least, have walloffire reduce torrent damage.I doubt it would because the water would just push right through the fire.
The thing is, in the show fire and water were shown to be quite similar. A couple blasts of fire could be blocked by a wave of defensive water, and fire was offensive/fast enough to blast through offense. Now when you have a wall of fire compared to a small stream of water, then in most cases the water would be blocked like how multiple fireblasts could be blocked by one wave of water. Make a little more sense now?Water puts out fire. Why shouldn't it go through? I agree that it would at most decrease the damage of torrent.
This aspect seems underrepresented, being fire can be blocked by a wave of ice easily, and explosive moves can be blocked with the water, but watermanipulation can easily be spammed enough to get through any offense fire throws at water. Do you get my point? The thing is, in the show fire and water were shown to be quite similar. Well, this is one thing I actually support owlcool in. Fire and water moves tended to cancel eachother out. In most cases of Walls of Fire being used by people, with the exception of the first time we see Jeong Jeong use it, they keep powering it visibly, keeping up the strength of the fire. It would make sense for the water to evaporate in that environment, especially if it's one of those smaller water moves. Owlcool is right. Walloffire should block most water moves. Or we could change it to a day night mechanic. In the day, it can't get through, but at night, it gets through and does less damage. That could be a compromise, so I hope it's not too hard to code.Yes I get your point. But my point is that the water would be more directed than the fire. If so, It would probably go through it, and a damage reduction is logical as not all the water would make it through. Directed fire going through water makes sense too.
That makes perfect sense. I do think it would be best to implement the night thing, to balance it out.It should only block watermani and torrent tbh, small water sources like them should evaporate, but giant waves like torrents wave or surge shouldnt be blocked
And in night it should only reduce the damage off water that goes through instead of getting blocked
Last I checked fireshield didn't really block anything except for fireblast. Am I wrong? What other moves can it block? I only use it for combos because it's so ineffective at blocking things. Also, this provides a sort of balance for how they can make giant ice walls to block our attacks. And you can't even claim it would be overpowered because it would only work during the day, unlike the ice walls.WallOfFire seems fine and balanced as of. If you want to block things like items, or some moves, use fireshield.
FireShield shift version can block watermani and torrent etcLast I checked fireshield didn't really block anything except for fireblast. Am I wrong? What other moves can it block? Um, a arrow for example? Not exactly blocked when it just becomes a arrow that lights you on fire. :/WallOfFire seems fine and balanced as of. If you want to block things like items, or some moves, use fireshield.
That seems balanced, and that already happens. Minus maybe with the torrent wave, but who actually makes use of that?It should only block watermani and torrent tbh, small water sources like them should evaporate, but giant waves like torrents wave or surge shouldnt be blocked

Torrent is massive.. It's as wide was a person is (if not wider) and is rather long. A wall of fire is a wall of fire, that of which is rather thin..How can a giant wall made of fire, not block a small stream of water
If you are going to think minecraft terms then you are slightly biased, in which case particles are small and a minimum amount of particles is used to prevent lag. Look at how it is in the show. In the show, a shift fireshield could block Waterbending, earthbending, airbending, Firebending, AND a boomerang at once, seems slightly debuffed compared to the snow.Torrent is massive.. The only reason the fireshield in PK doesn't work as well is that it isn't large enough to block before it hits you. And I believe this is a suggestion about wall of fire that of which isn't for blocking moves..If you are going to think minecraft terms then you are slightly biased, in which case particles are small and a minimum amount of particles is used to prevent lag. How is walloffire not for blocking moves? It's only function is click, to create a massive shield,The only reason the fireshield in PK doesn't work as well is that it isn't large enough to block before it hits you. It is used as offense more than anything, it does a considerable amount of damage. How is walloffire not for blocking moves? It's only function is click, to create a massive shield,
