What's Missing in LavaBending ?

I feel like there is something missing on Lava Bending.

We all know that Lava is molten rocks and is really hot.
And in the game if you use Lava bending it really lacks that burning effect or the melting effect of blocks

All the blocks hit by Lava should melt too, Right ? Just like in the show
When Ghazan destroyed the Air temple. The lava just spread around melting everything and creating more destruction.
So, the lava bending should have that Melting effect.
If you shoot Lava Surge. The blocks that get hit by the Lava blocks should change to Lava blocks ? right ?

I like it, but it is too bad lavasurge is out of commission in 1.8.

Definitely not against obsidion though. Maybe just earthbendable blocks, because that was all he seemed to melt. Yes, it is possible to earthbend bricks. Don't question it.
