Well, Veno, think about it. In the show the benders used their abilities and skill to lower THEMSELVES to the ground by bending their element. The water itself doesn't gently caress the user until they are safely on the ground, they merely used the skill that they had gained from using the abilities over and over, training it. This is what Alex and Llama are trying to tell you. You have to time it right and be careful, learn the move and you'll almost always safely fall to the ground through skill and memory. This ain't no pre-school, boy, we don't hand out safe descension like cookies! Work for it, now!
