Seeing how Kya countered most of the Ming-Hua's waterarm techniques, wouldn't be cool If the same could be done in-game with particular abilities?
Watermanipulation - Punch
A waterbender can redirect waterarms punch mode attacks, same way how it's done with watermanipulation projectile. However, it is a little bit intermediated, as the watermanipulater will have to continue doing redirect-spamming for 7 seconds or else it will fail and (s)he will be shoved back a few blocks away (reenact to action scene - the pov position will change).
WaterBubble - Grab
An enemy can escape the grip of the waterarm''er's grab technique, by switching to waterbubble and left clicking. As a drawback, a decent knockback is dealt to the user (velocity/kinetic damage is applied)
IceSpike - Freeze.
Redirection works the same as for redirecting watermanipulation - shift and left click. However, this will be a cost of putting to cooldown. Additionally, another method could be used (which isn't affected by the cooldown before this) is by breaking each icespike attack (I guess it applies to every non-waterbender, since Kya probably punched them with her body). Only 3 blocks can be punched at a time.
The First new ability was inspired for the icespike usage, so therefor it can be countered the same way. Second isn't actually new, but whatever.
IceBlade:
Like Freeze, this freezes tentacles, but with it you can slam people and break stone structures using your crossheir to move it around. Heck, you can even do 360 noscope If you wish too. (Video - 00:08-00:11).
WaterSpout:
That's what it basically (not the vortex thing) - you can surf across any area while keeping your waterarms on. Changing slots doesn't disable it. And no, it's not op or replaces grapple in any way, by adding the changes I asked for.(Video - 00:18-00:19).
