I think a surge wave should do some damage to the mob or player it comes in contact with. In the show when a water wave hit someone, they didn't just walk it off, it also kind of hurts them. Waterbending really needs more damage attacks and I think this would make it a lot better.

If this "surge" type move from the AVATAR only made this person *shake their heads a bit to recover* then I doubt a mini surge would do that much damage.

Not unless they hit someone against solid, which is what Wall Damage is for and that's why have it. In reality, I don't think you can get "hurt" by a wave. Fatigue, yes, but then that would be applied to every attack not just waterbending, which would make the all abilities "meh-wha?!" If slowness was their inducing attribute.

Also, consider that: size + damage = OP! Surge is hard enough to dodge alone as of rn at least...

That's the opposite. He didn't seem to be hit, but more cusioned landed. Once the water flown away, he is seen sitting or lounging at the edge...
You didn't hear his screams? He was on an ice berg with Roku and then blasted all the way to the TOP of the palace by a "surge" like ability..... That would take a lot of force (by the water).

Extactly. But you made it s ound like he was being pushed by a rain drop or something.
I still don't think wall damage occured. Would have at least shown him getting thrown into wall and 'bounce' from it, but it just carried him away and that's were it all ended (he was positioned weirdly shortly after the attack). It would be kinda weird If that's the skipped scene.

If you read my original post you'd see I used that video in my argument that it shouldn't do damage.

You said:

And I replied. It's not opposite, he was hit, he couldn't have been cushioned, he was not "lounging" he was recovering.

I think water anymore abilities...

continuity is what it really lacks, which I know we all talked about it all. It would revolutionize waterbender so that it is "complete" for quite some while.

It does have ton attack moves, but mix feelings about "not make anymore". Fire should have ton, air needs less in regards, but water... Idk. I actually don't know what tactical it should weild? I just don't like how currently it is crap of everything (or a mixture If you will). Offense into defense? Perhaps, but don't really know what does that mean. It could be interpet in many ways, so...

I understand it had a lot, that's not what I disagreed with. I disagreed with the cause & effect they used.
