Currently fire and air's attacks can be done anywhere but for water and earth, water has to refill bottles and earths got nothing should be able to use coal from their inventory as a bendable source and it appears as a coal block which would be like when the earthbenders escaped the firenation prison. We had a debate about earthbending blocks from one's inventory, the end result turned out to be rejected (denied in a thread). I myself see real no point in this, since you can just place that block on smth and use it from there, with the exception of items that couldn't be place. I can agree however for this (coal block) to be as an earthbendable source. Worth mentioning, I myself suggested that coal item should be shooted out from the inventory when using earthblast.

If they (- as in the devs) make coal bendable from earthbenders inventories, would be more fair if they made for every other bendable block? I don't know why you're trying to make this distinct from others, but I think it would be better if we make every earth block bendable or even none with coal being the one.
