Earth Tunnel Not dropping blocks

When I use Earth Tunnel now, blocks no longer drop. I have reverting off and still nothing. Is this just how it works now or is it a known bug?
 
It suppose to destroy them, not drop it. Otherwise, that would be to op - imagine picking up a lot of stone blocks without a pickaxe and super fast.

That's how it used to work on my server before 1.8 :S

So essentially that was just a glitch haha. It was a great talent for farming stuff.
 
You guys think you could add this as a feature in the config, ( it wouldn't be as op if we changed the breaking speed )

Burrowing would turn out to be a pain for those who don't care to collect blocks and just want to dig through the area.
