While chiblocking is very powerful, it really can't go through a layer of iron, diamond or gold.. I think that while wearing iron, diamond, gold and earth armor chiblocking should be either a) not working at all or b) be nerfed slightly (ex: Paralyze lasting 1/2 as long). This just adds a touch of realism, and when you use earth armor against a chiblocker it is put to better use, instead of simply defending yourself from the raw damage of their attacks.
