Firebending is the offensive element, it's not supposed to have defense like water, earth, and air. I am in favor of this idea, it's really great!

I like the idea. It makes waterbenders actually have a way to dodge torrent finally. It makes them be a more skilled bender if they can execute a redirect like that, and it will be more like the show anyway :)

The water would revert back to ice if the player is not touching the block. Also, most water moves need at east a 4 by 4 space to execute, so the most you could do to the person would be to punch or drown them/

I like this idea because you wont have to reselect a source in order to use the push back form of surge and can go straight to surge from surgeshield >.>
