Waterbending is already split into a bunch of unneeded subelements. I think if we add steam moves, we shouldn't add a sub-element, we should just add steam moves... It's literally just water in another state of matter... just like ice. It has no reason to be a "sub-element".

Just letting you know, the goal is to progress the plugin. Otherwise, we doing something meaningless.

You know what "develop" means? So, as a developer, you should know something about progress ;)

Yes, but we are trying to improve it... so we should increase ease of use and function, and having an archiving system would do that. Even if it is "good enough" now, we should always strive to be better in every way. That's how progress happens.

Not my intention, but this is a thread to suggest changes, not argue that the current system is adequate enough :P

Or just make it more user friendly, and move denied threads into an archive, so they dont have to clutter up the forums.

I dont think you grasp how the suggestions work for PK... We do not implement the suggestions exactly how you suggest... so there is no need to "consider changing" anything. Once you put the suggestion on the forums, you have NO power over how or which parts of something get implemented if they...

You obviously have no concept for the way the code works. If the developer is saying that It wouldn't work well, you cant tell them that you know better, because you quite literally do not. Right now, we cannot register when a player taps shift, so the core mechanic of this move will not work...

and the same goes for alternate elements. A firebender can pick off an earth or water spammer using charged fireblast or combustion. An airbender can do the same using airswipe (charged or uncharged), airsweep (depending on the config) and airburst.

Personally, I think the whole "anti-bending spam" thing is just a cop out. There are tons of ways to combat spamming and people complain because they dont like how it's actually an effective way of killing. And then there are the salty people who aren't good at it, so they complain, only to be...

I mean I'm all for adding config options, I guess I'm just not a huge fan of the idea that you have to wait a long time to use a simple move... I dont see how it makes much sense personally.

On top of that, there are already cooldowns existent in the plugin. The person in charge of configuration can increase or decrease those cooldowns as they see fit. This post is bordering on the plugin turning into something like a magical MMO, where you have a limited amount of "energy" to use...

And spamming can EASILY be combatted by other means. This is why we have charged and more powerful moves in the plugin.
