Haha, I didn't mean to spam you. Due to Firebenders advancing over time they have led to becoming benders that use straight shots. That doesn't mean this ability doesn't lye there, infect it just means it has been less commonly used. Most redirection in a Firebender would be from lightning...

The Devs would balance out the move in the most reasonable way possible. You can't spam Fire Blast at a quick pace anyways so I don't see the problem there.

Both, really. The way Wan used it, the people in control of the fire thrown at him were very unskilled. In the wiki the move they used was a weak move, Fire Ball or something like that. And yeah, the circular motion I was going to suggest, but I wasn't to sure on how the community would react to it.

I like the sand spout idea, it definitely shows how Sandbending shows similaritys to Airbending. I'm not sure if that photo you give us is really a sand spout forming, but it looks similar. The developers would probably use particles rather than sand blocks to make it prettier.
