In concern to this idea, seismic sense would be the only ability in sub-element
Additionally, seismic sense is, more than anything, just an extension of the sense of touch that's been enhanced with earthbending as a sort of sixth sense.
I think specifically making it a claw just for the heck of it is a bit much. Aside from that, perhaps at a later date, we'll have a need for hot water moves but not currently.
Hmm... if we removed the push factor from surge to allow it to have more defensive capabilities, and redid water wave this way, I actually wouldn't mind. Although functionally, this isn't necessary, animation-wise, I think it'd be pretty cool
These are fire whips, two of them. They don't replace the arms nor do they envelope them, which I would imagine would hurt. I don't mind the idea of a single fire whip ability, but two whips and calling them arms is overkill
This is a tricky one. Obsidian really has little to do with lavabending since it's a solid rock and it can even be added to the list of earthbendable blocks in the config for all earthbenders. Yet, I see how this would correlate to lavabending.
