The listener listens for whether it would kill you, it doesn't take bending into account. Should be a simple fix

Yes you need to be using a bukkit/spigot build of 1.8

The original combustion bender had a charge time basically. It took him a relatively large time to channel it.

The rule is as soon as a user is banned the code/move/plugin is fair game to be reposted
