I disagree with your first point, I could see breaking blocks being possible if your constantly pulling water out of a source and pushing it against the block, but it doesn't make sense for Torrent's case.

If you've ever played an actual RPG (like world of Warcraft or really any other game), you would know that you gain talent points that you are able to spend on a tree and gain various upgrades, the whole point is choice

Why not just have "talent points" (could be for specific purposes like subelements, or just for the general element) that players could gain through means the server owner would define, and then allow the said server owner to make their own configurable GUI talent tree that players could spend...

I think it'd be cooler if they stayed until server reload or permanently (depending on config), This could lead to "griefing" but it would be really cool. However it should only do damage if it hits something while it's being raised.

While a charged IceSpike sounds cool this is much too situational

I can't see this happening personally, We already seem to be a bit behind on development considering we've just updated to 1.10 recently, and this would further push us back. There is also the fact that this isn't Minecraft

Thats because WaterArms spear was written to handle tempblocks properly, Our older abilities aren't sure how to interact with tempblocks and need to be updated. If we added a revert Config option right now it would just cause more bugs.

This has nothing to do with ice flooding, ice flooding is caused by some of our abilities that don't use blocks and conflict with the ones who do, implementing this fix especially now would cause more bugs
