I know what you mean this move could be rigid and awkward at start and finish. Also it's kind of just a pretty broad move that basically is what waterbending is about. Not really watermanip but it is like the other moves.

The thinner the stream is the longer it is so when I gets bigger it gets shorter.

Ita not meant to replace torrent or watermanipulation I just think it would give more variety to a move

It has a cool down so it would be close to impossible for someone to use this as a replacement to the normal torrent, also it does less damage which is another reason it won't replace normal torrent. It's not a glorified water manipulation because it will still have the effect of a torrent like...

I think it's a great idea but I'm confused whether you want it to be like a surge wave or like a huge stream of water as shown in the first gif.

I'm just saying as an addon for a quick torrent and I don't want to get rid of the wave just add this. Plus the player can choose whether they want to draw it around them or just shoot it from the water. And if you shoot it from the water it has a big cool down so it can't be spammed like water...

To be honest I really like this idea and it would give waterbending more realism which I think it needs. I think that the size of the puddle should depend on what move you do.
