Water Tendrils, a longer, more advanced form of waterbending, used to create two sharp tendrils to attack, freeze and more.

Similar to waterarms, but with more control and fluidness. Tendrils would have a 15 second cooldown.

How this ability would work is by holding shift while looking at a source, a snake of water would come to you and spin around you like torrent, but at your feet.

Continue holding shift and the small torrent at your feet would snake out from each side, forming 2 large tendrils that range about 7 blocks high. (10 on full moon). Once tendrils are fully formed, you can release shift.

Now you have the water tendrils formed and ready to go, here's what they have to offer. (using multiability api your hotbar would be replaced with new moves specifically for water tendrils)

1# Watersmash. Click with this ability and one of your tendrils would smash down onto the ground in a straight line. Hitting an entity with this would do 2 hearts of damage and would carry your opponent in the ripple, until they reach the end of the tendril, which would send them flying back a few blocks. This ability also has the power to cut thru air and waterspouts, and can hit airborne enemies. Using this ability would take 3 blocks off of the tendril you used it on. Using this ability has a 5 second cooldown, and will automatically alternate between tendrils.

2# Watervortex. Using this ability and clicking will make your tendrils reform back around your feet, and then the water around your feet will spiral around you like a tornado of water and boost you up 15 or so blocks, catching anyone near it inside and throwing them violently. This is a 1 time use, and doing so will destroy your tendrils. Also, be wary of fall damage.

3# Icedome. Switch to this ability and hold shift, and the water tendrils will reform like the previous move around you, but instead of spiraling upwards, it will create a small, hollow dome around you of ice. This lasts as long as you hold shift. Releasing shift will dissipate your tendrils.

4# Waterwave. Switch to this and hold shift to activate waterwave. This is great for quick escapes or mobility. Using this will destroy your tendrils.

Hope you enjoyed the idea. I'm aware it sounds like an octopusform/waterarms clone, so I tried to make the abilites new and refreshing, instead of just "punch and pull" sort of stuff. This is pretty risky to post, so I hope it could atleast be considered. Thanks for reading.

I don't really understand the multiapi craze. Its like people want it to take over pk amd as much as I love it, it shouldn't replace everything. You might think its saving room or making things more useful, but its really just replacing stuff. No panda support. ;_;

Uh, it's not replacing anything. This is an entirely new move...

Plus, it would be quite boring if there was only 1 ability with water tendrils, and then it's over. Idk man, I just feel like a move like this needs more then 1 ability. Criticism is taken though.

Eh you think its new, but 3 out of the 4 moves are moves that already exist. And the other 1 is just a different animation of another (Punch and Grab). I'm not against new moves and new moves that do something similar, but this is just putting 4 boxes and one big box.

Point taken.

(but I'm pretty sure theres no giant water ripples or water tornados, but I guess they're similar.)

Torando is a waterspout on land (or just a faster waterwave) and water ripples is punch, grab and throw at once.

The only real thing that I find interesting is the WaterSmash move (Seems a lot like my WhipSlam part of my FireWhips suggestion) and even then, I think WaterArms beats this move in that category of offensive ability because of the shear spam that the Punch feature can do. (I still find the WaterSmash suggestion interesting, just not very practical since we have WaterArms in the core)

Something I'd like to point out though.
If making a decently sized octopus takes enough concentration that you have to hold sneak, then how come making giant water tentacles allows you to freely move around? (If you plan on letting people run around with giant water tentacles, then that might lag some basic servers if maybe 3 - 4 people are running around with the Tendrils behind them)

There is one other thing I have to comment about, and that's making this suggestion it's own move if it gets accepted. Instead of doing that, I'd suggest making it a WaterCombo (There's so little water combos available in the core) that involves the water arms ability in it, since this is pretty similar to WA.
Torrent (Left Click 2x) --> WaterArms (Hold Sneak) --> WaterArms (Left Click)
That's what I've got so far.
