Icebending is a sub element to waterbending in the plug in.Though i think personally that it isn't and it shouldn't be and i would like to hear your opinions.There are many reasons i think that icebending is not a sub element:First of all generally speaking sub elements are not ''accessible'' to all the benders(for example not every firebender can use lightning).Metal bending might be able to be done by a large amount of earthenders but still some earthbenders like Bolin who tried many many many times and wanted to be a metalbender can not bend metal,not even the meteor peaces.In the show every waterbending character shown in more than one episode are seen to ''icebend''.You might say that we have seen swamp waterbenders in 2 episodes but they did not ''icebned''.If you said that you are wrong.In the day of the black sun they(the swamp benders) bend the ice that surrounds some torpidios to launch them,and one of them froze some water that came from a hole at the submrine.
So even the swamp waterbenders can ''icebend''
Let's take it from another point of view:Metal bending needs a little bit of training to achieve if the earthbender is capable of metal bending at all.Lava bending is more like a rare gift.Lighting is a gift but still needs training to achieve.The same goes for bloodbending,it needs training.''Icebending'' on the other hand is not like that.Katara in the first episode,a roocky that had never been trained by any other waterbender and could hardly trap a fish in a waterball was able,powered by anger to crack a giant iceberg.
I know that icebending in the plug in is good for shorting the moves out to,but i personally think that''icebending'' is not a subelement and i strongly believe should not be separated from waterbending like in most servers.I want to hear your opinions and honestly i did not make this thread to offend anyone's avatar logic.I just want to know what other people think about this so feel free to comment.
