Heat control is a move that allows you to put out fire and not take fire damage. Now I said "Put out fire", what I mean is heat control should be able to have the ability to put out people on fire, in the avatar series people don't get burned, its a kids show so you can't make them watch someone burn to death. But it would be natural to be able to put out people on fire.

Its great for allies and for a friend you have fighting with you. Now I've included 2 ways to put out people on fire,
first you can click at the person and the fire will stop, second witch takes a 5 sec cool down and that is to hold shift and click and it will turn from single target to splash.

Here is some extra and that is your choice or not, and that is to put yourself out.
If you get burned and have heat control selected you won't take damage but the fire is still there, it can prevent you from using other moves because you may take fire damage again.
So you can put yourself out by using the left mouse button. But thats just an add, I never considered this something to be added but I might just put it here to see what you guys think.

Left click Heat Control should put other people out, not just you.
Shift and clicking at someone will put just them out, and not everyone around, and will have a cooldown.
Being in the Heat Control slot will prevent you from taking fire damage, but not put the fire out.

I agree with all of your ideas except for the last one. Sometimes if you don't stay on the Heat Control slot for long enough, it doesn't put the fire out as you switch to another, and that could get rather annoying if that was just the general rule. It can be handy to stop yourself from burning, then go on to attack while your opponent is still burning. Just my opinion though.

You misunderstood completely, I said if you click at a person on fire you will put him out not you, if you shift klick you can put multiple people out and not just one but not you, thats what splash means. If you left klick you would put yourself out not other people.

And the reason why you should be able to put ourself out is that you can then switch to another slot without taking burn again. Good for fighting fire benders.
And btw i put it that way so that you don't accidentally put out your enemy or opponent on fire.

I am fighting with fire all the time, and I can say that if i get on fire and i need to attack, i can't cuz then I would take burn again. But if I have heat control selected till the fire goes out itself my opponent would have free hits on me.

But you can't click on yourself... That's not how minecraft works. You can click down, at your feet, but then you're clicking at the ground. You can't physically click yourself. This idea is based on working with game mechanics that don't exist. I don't think I support this anymore.

Ok true, you can't look at yourself witch is why I put a left click function. If you can put out fire by looking at it and right click, it would go out, so why can't I use that function to put yourself out, Well you can't like you said. I knew this and is the reason I put left click there. You can look at any direction and left click, it would still put yourself out.

I personally do think this move needs work, though I'd assume it'd be shift to put yourself out click to put others out (or shift + click), maybe instead create some cool combos out of this

Hmm, It would be hard to make a combo out of heat control. Heat control is basically controlling the heat... oh wait this might actually work. Ok how about this.
You shot a fire blast then use heat control on it to make the heat of the flame stronger. Or use heat control on enemy blast to make it weaker. How's that, it could work.

I thought this was about redirection of heat. Because thats a thing.

Put out the fire there, move it somewhere else.

I believe heat control is controlling the heat within your own body aka putting yourself out of fire, so it wouldn't really work with other player's. Denied.
