Well, this move could be used as a type of "Sub-Element" of Chiblocking. I realize Chiblocking is not an element, but in book 2 Amon was the most powerful Chiblocker, he was the only one capable of taking a persons bending. Since all of the sub-elements are being introduced in The Legend of Korra, especially in book 3, Why not add it as a very powerful Chiblocking feature? Now, I do not agree with forcing a user to re-choose their element, but it could be coded so that it temporarily disables a users bending for 5 minutes and when a user attempts to bind or use and ability, a message appears saying "Your bending has been taken! Please wait 5 Minutes before trying to perform this command again." Only because the use of Sub-Elements are now appearing in the Legend of Korra as well as Project Korra, it only makes sense that every element/art receives some type of op move that not everyone has. Also, I have a feeling that because airbenders are now appearing in the series due to the shift of harmonic convergence, the airbending Sub-Element is not too far away from being introduced.
Air = Soundbending (Not Added)
Water = Bloodbending (Added)
Fire = Combustion (Added)
Earth = Metalbending (Added) or Lavabending (May appear soon?)
Chi = Focusblast (Not Added) - This ability will have a large coodown and it will allow a chiblocker to hit the very source of a benders chi, completely stopping it for 5 minutes. Only very talented chiblockers are able to perform this move.
