Let's say you're standing in this type of a water pool v
Then by left clicking (withou shifting) on air with surge selected, the wave will be launch in a tsunami type of animation like shown (of course the shape and size of it will be left to decide and adjust for the developers):
. This wave will only cross water and when it reaches the edge of a land it will immediately dissapate itself.
When instead tapped shift (without left clicking) on air, the shield will ascend in a raiseearth manner, but make it somehow fluidly. Here's what I mean as ascend: [/img][/img] This shield will only be movable across the surface of the water, not on the air and not on soli blocks, as the shield will stay still on water where it was left of. If you try to freeze it via left clicking, the shield will then act as a IceWall, meaning that it will be attached to the bottom of the pool without bending and won't move if you move your cursor, and can be shatter when blasting iceblast at it. When the shield is in water state, it can be deactivate by releasing the crouch key (shift by default).
You may ask, "Why don't you need to select source when using this abilities at water?".
Since you're standing right in the water, I think it should be easy for you to push away infront of you a wave or raise the water of a wall shape without selecting a source when it is right infront in your face, as I imagine benders using martial arts would need to thrust their both arms forward and raise them without needing to pull water since the bender is ot far away frm the source.
