Firebenders should have a worst time with chiblockers. It is said in the show that firebenders use their "Chi" to make fire. I can imagine them bending fire as a medium as well, but I only saw that in the forsaken movie....

So...if a chiblocker hits a firebender with paralyze, the firebender should not be able to bend (Without a medium) for a longer period of time than most benders. ​
