CraftBukkit is taken down

I recently find out that Craftbukkit and any other alternative was taken down. I wish to set up a small private server for me and my friends to play but I can't download the lastest Bukkit since it is gone. Anyone know what I can do? Any suggestions on making the plugin work somehow without needing bukkit? Or is it just impossible for me to set up a server now.

I recently got an email to how Project Korra can now work on Spigot. I see your thread was formed on Nov 30, so this may have been after you found out.

Bukkit has been down for a while, and you are referring to regular bukkit, not craftbukkit. Craftbukkit works fine and is what you need to run a private server.

This video was made on Dec 1 of this year, so it is very up-to-date (post Bukkit takedown, so it does work). It has the files you need in the description. I made a server just today and it worked with the latest Korra mod.

Spigot didn't die and it's also the better version of bukkit, Spigot is a optimised version of Bukkit. Md_5 recently updated both craftbukkit and spigot to 1.8 as well.
