I have not fully tested it with all earth bending, but when I land on polished diorite, it temporarily turns into sand, thanks to the earth passive. However, when the short lasting sand wheres off, it has then turn into smooth stone. I have not tested this a lot, but I assume it might be happening to the other blocks also.
