On the other hand, spirits seem more focused on blessing/cursing many people and seem to be unable to even have the offensive capabilities of a earthbender. So, a spirit killing someone and at most of the time only removing 2 hearts, with this being cannon, and spirits being mostly weak, this isn't that overpowered of a move in a spirit's arsenal.

Still too OP. It would really drive people away from enabling it and whats the point of adding something that everyone would disable?

In the show spirits were extremely powerful. Korra could not defeat one without water spirit bending. In the plugin they will most likely be balanced with the other elements.

So I am the only one that feels like there should need to be adaptions to bending style to be effective against spirits, or nao? That would definitely represent the skill needed to defeat a spirit, and it would balance it out...

I'm confused. So how would someone gain these hearts? What would they have to do?

The move would make a puzzle. You sense the illness and use a random potion to cure it. And the potion would help them instead of its normal effect.

Kind of like how in the real world some drugs can kill you if you take them normally. But cure you if you are sick.

Nope. Fire was never acually shown to have healing properties.
