  • Once the user absorbs the upcoming lightning into their body, they must release it within 5 seconds or else they will start taking damage.
    • It could come in a form of a boolean parameter option, where if it's set to 'True' - the user immediately dies instead of taking damage after the seconds had passed.
    • Iroh stressed about it being deadly and fatal, if the redirected made a slight single false move.
  • This would apply to generation as well: when the redirecter redirects the lightning while releasing it in the air/sky, it would create a thunder-lightning appriomatily where it landed (for a nice visual effect).
  • If the user happens to redirect the lighting when not grounded (floating in the air or while moving), the procress would partially be succesful: the attack will be redirected, but the user will still take damage.
    • During Sozin's comet event, that's what happen to Zuko when trying to save Katara. Causing him severe injury and incapacitating him for the remainder of the duel.
  • Redirecting lightning may be exhausting and drainful, as seen when Aang redirected Ozai's lighting - resulting in Aang falling on his knees.
    • Therefor (If this parameter is set to false), random abilities of the user will be put on cooldown after redirecting lightning (random chance of happening - value also configurable).

I think this would be great to see in the plugin.

Is there a way to spawn thunder for only the person who used lightning?? Like where it messes with the sky lighting and makes thunder noise? I suppose you could just apply the thunder sound effect to lightning if it's an option.

I love this idea but maybe instead of instant death of redirection is failed it could just take your health down a bunch like when using lightning on waterarms. This way it won't be an insta kill if someone attempts to redirect it and fails.

I don't see any example of where this was a thing?

Mako seemed very capable of consistently generating lightning.
when the redirecter redirects the lightning while releasing it in the air/sky, it would create a thunder-lightning appriomatily where it landed (for a nice visual effect).
I don't think floating lightning will look good at all, also it wouldn't make any sense when it isn't cloudy.
If the user happens to redirect the lighting when not grounded (floating in the air or while moving), the procress would partially be succesful: the attack will be redirected, but the user will still take damage.
Iroh was able to move then redirect lightning in that one episode where Azula is practicing Lightning. So this is half true. Also this would hardly be feasible in minecraft due to the fact that you need to sneak to redirect lightning, and moving while sneaking is VERY grounded.
Redirecting lightning may be exhausting and drainful, as seen when Aang redirected Ozai's lighting - resulting in Aang falling on his knees.
He doesn't fall to his knees. He gets pushed back instead.
