Hello, as of Project Korra 1.5.0 dev 18 LavaSurge had a major overhaul. I have a minor suggestion to make it slightly more reasonable.
First, The block(s) you use foe the LavaSurge should disappear like most other earthbending moves. That way people can't just stand there and spam that move.
Second, perhaps, creating the "source" for LavaSurge should be dependent on how long you hold shift, like LavaFlow, so if you just tap shift, you will only use one block in your LavaSurge.
The first one I think is kind of necessary but the second one is just kind of a fun thought that I wanted to share with you.
