That's normal, and there's nothing I or anyone can do about that. FallingBlocks are entities and will be affected by any move which applies velocity.

Some changes were made in Java 8 which break certain parts of bending as well as some addons (ConcurrentHashMap's keySet() method has a different return type.) Java 7 hasn't got any problems however. Good catch on the error though ;) it is indeed likely caused by an outdated client JRE.
