Denied Redirecting Torrent
This has already been suggested and denied in the past. I think that this might be a bit of a redundant addition to waterbending at the moment. Perhaps in the future when some mechanics of the element are changed. -

I think that would be the proper way to handle firebending in the future. Firedamage has become ridiculous in 1.8 -

Tremorsense changes the block in the data packet that goes to the player, allowing light to come off of a glowstone block that only you see. -
